Dr. Bird is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is licensed by the state of Georgia to provide family-centered health care to patients of all ages.
She began her nursing career over 30 years ago when she received her associate’s degree from Dekalb Community College in Clarkston, Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia, her master’s degree from Brenau University, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. She also serves as an online instructor for the University of Phoenix.
Dr. Bird has extensive experience in a variety of health care areas, including hospital and clinic/private-practice settings. She began her career as a nurse practitioner with Gwinnett Hospital System in 1998 and has been with the Gwinnett Family Medical Care team for nearly two decades.
