Dr. Isenstein is originally from Merrick, N.Y. He received his bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency and his pulmonary fellowship at Emory University. In addition, he completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at St. Vincent Hospital in Massachusetts. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and critical care medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
Dr. Isenstein has been practicing medicine in Gwinnett County since 1990. He is married and has a son (Princeton University) and daughter (Cornell University) in college. He enjoys reading, traveling, and taking his dog for long walks in the park.
